about
What is Oral rehabilitation?
Oral rehabilitation is a recognized specialty in dentistry that deals with diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions related to missing tooth material or missing teeth.
The field of dental restoration and reconstruction can deal with a small and simple case of restoring one tooth using a filling or a crown, to complex cases that require the completion of a large number of teeth, treatment of extensive erosion of the teeth, problems with the jaw joints, and repair of a defective occlusion. The means available to the rehabilitation specialist are also extensive and include restorations (fillings), individual crowns, bridges, prostheses, implants and more.
Who is the oral rehabilitation specialist?
An oral rehabilitation specialist is a dentist who, after 6 years of general dentistry studies, chose to specialize in oral rehabilitation. Specialization in oral rehabilitation is carried out in medical centers authorized by the Ministry of Health to train and award a specialist certificate to the graduates of the program. The internship lasts between 3.5-5 years, during which the intern handles complex cases, practices clinical procedures, prepares lectures on various topics related to the profession and researches the professional literature in depth.
At the end of the internship, the intern must pass government tests of the Ministry of Health in which he is tested on the scientific material he studied and also presents treatment cases he performed during the internship to a committee of examiners. After successfully completing the tests and carrying out a research paper, the intern receives a specialist degree in oral rehabilitation.
What is the difference between a general dentist and an oral rehabilitation specialist?
The oral rehabilitation specialist is a professional authority in the dental community. The oral rehabilitation specialist has extensive training acquired after a long internship. He learned to see the case in an overall view based on countless articles and professional discussions in which the best expert doctors in Israel and the world participate.
He is able to offer a comprehensive diagnosis and a treatment plan that addresses all the findings. In addition, he knows how to offer therapeutic alternatives based on compromises such as medical, psychological or financial limitations.

Clinic services
Checkups and Maintenance
In our clinic, we make sure that every patient who finishes treatment, whether big or small, will be invited for a periodic checkups, every 6 to 12 months, depending on various variables such as age, habits, general health, etc. Inspections and maintenance are an integral part of maintaining oral health
Crowns and bridges
When the tooth is destroyed by decay or trauma, it can be restored with a crown. The crown is made of tooth-colored material - porcelain or zirconia, and looks just like a natural tooth
Restorations (fillings)
Tooth decay is a disease that originates from bacteria that are in the oral cavity and feed on sugars. They secrete acids that break down the tooth material and this is how caries lesions (cavities) are formed. The treatment is the removal of caries and the restoration of the tooth - filling. The modern restorative materials are the color of the tooth, and when the treatment is performed correctly and the patient keeps the teeth clean, the filling will not be visible at all
Dental prostheses
When there is extensive tooth loss, one of the options for restoration is dentures. The prostheses simulate the teeth and gums that were lost during extractions. You might be surprised that you know people with dentures and you didn't even know that these weren't their real teeth...
Rehabilitation on implants
We try to keep teeth, but when there is no choice and a tooth is extracted there is a solution. An implant is a screw made of titanium that fits into the bone and serves as a base on which a crown, bridge or prosthesis can be fitted
Teeth Whitening
Teeth may change color and darken. The reasons for this can be external - smoking, calculus, food and drinks that stain the teeth, or internal - age or trauma.
First aid and emergencies
Toothaches can appear without warning, wake you up from sleep and cause great suffering. In our clinic, we provide a quick response to emergencies, and in cases of need, we will even come especially to relieve the pain
Dental Hygienist
Gingivitis causes bleeding, bad breath, pain and in severe cases even tooth loss. In order to avoid gingivitis, care must be taken to clean the teeth and remove tartar and plaque. The hygienists in our clinic provide dedicated care to each patient, cleaning and instruction in oral hygiene
